Do not ever fall for shit like this.
This is a screen cap I took from http://www.freelancer.com/
Freelancing does not mean you will create work & be paid only when your client wants it. If you work that way, you are dooming the the future of your livelihood & that of others.
DO NOT EVER LOWER YOUR PRICE IF A COMPANY OR A BUSINESS PERSON IS INVOLVED.
I can’t say this enough.
If you have no portfolio, build one, but not under this kind of circumstance. You can create designs for a small pawn shop owned by your uncle or a cookie business of your friend. What is important is that the people you do cheap or free work for know that it is a favor & that they do not under value you.
Business entities ALWAYS just want to do things as cheap as possible. They will never reward you for your effort aside from what they pay you. That is not evil. It is simply how they are. Like vicious tigers who eat little fluffy rabbits. So learn how to not get eaten or have laser cannons installed in your eyes.
